About us
Metalock Machines was founded in 2023 as part of the Metalock Engineering Group, a world leader in on-site machining. Metalock Engineering, established in 1904, was a driving force behind the development of modern portable machining in the 1960s.
Metalock Machines combines this unique experience and application expertise with modern technology to Transform On-Site Machining into Science™. Our mission is to revolutionize the industry by offering Better & Safer Portable Machining Tools while sharing our knowledge with our colleagues in the global on-site machining community.

Despite its importance, the on-site machining industry has seen little innovation over the years, with proven technologies dominating the market. Ease of use and safety have often been sacrificed in favour of performance and simplicity. Operators are frequently exposed to multiple safety hazards, such as loud motor noises from pneumatic, hydraulic, or electrical motors, and exposed fast-moving rotating parts.

With its extensive knowledge, the Metalock Group has custom-produced hundreds of on-site machining tools over the years and thoroughly understands the needs and challenges of the industry. Driven by a commitment to improving usability, safety, and performance, Metalock Machines has focused on the development of electric servo motors. This technology allows for high rotational cutting velocities for maximum performance, as well as precise feed displacement. This approach combined with low noise levels and an easy-to-use control unit leads to more efficient machining, precise results, and improved safety and usability, ultimately minimizing downtime and expenses for the end customer.
